Georgia is a little gem squeezed between Europe and Asia. It is called the balcony of Europe, as it hangs out of the Caucasus mountains, overlooking the lands of the Turks and the Persians. Georgia are friendly and welcoming, though fierce of their traditions. The Motherland statue overlooking Tbilisi well represent the Georgian national character: in her left hand she holds a bowl of wine to greet those who come as friends, and in her right hand is a sword for those who come as enemies

We spent only 4 days. 2 dedicated to visiting Tbilisi, while on the other 2 we rented a car and drove South, close to the border with Armenia, passing valleys and visiting medieval castles and ancient cave cities
